Daniel Barpal
Prior to forming Barpal Services, LLC, Mr. Barpal was Director, Project Management for Duke Energy North America in Houston, Texas. In this role he managed the surplus equipment program in which he stored, marketed, and resold approximately $330MM worth of distressed gas and steam turbines.
Mr. Barpal was the Director of Technical Services for Duke Energy’s North American non-regulated development division prior to the above assignment. He led the selection and procurement of all gas and steam turbines and HRSGs as well as managed and selected overall plant configurations and technologies. His group was also responsible for supporting environmental permitting, transmission studies, detailed site engineering, EPC contracting, and O&M (Long Term Service Agreements).
Prior to working for Duke Energy, Mr. Barpal held various engineering and Project Management positions for Westinghouse Power Generation (now Siemens).
Mr. Barpal holds a BSME degree from California State University, Fresno. He received his Professional Engineering Registration in the State of Florida by exam. He currently serves as an Officer of the IGTI Electric Power Committee.
Mr. Barpal has co-authored a technical paper, and has been a presenter at several conferences. He has been the recipient of many awards throughout his professional career.
